Deep-water petroleum storage and transhipment terminal on the eastern shore of the Strait of Canso at Wright Point, Point Tupper, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. The marine terminal is a T-shaped reinforced-concrete-and-steel jetty extending ~228.6 m offshore: Berth 1 (outer) handles vessels of 350,000+ DWT at 31 m depth (max draft 25.90 m) and Berth 2 (inner) handles up to 99,999 DWT at 18 m depth, with roughly 7.5 million barrels of tank storage for crude oil, refined fuels and other petroleum products. Originally a NuStar Energy crude/products terminal, it was sold to EverWind Fuels in 2022 (US$60M) and is now being expanded into EverWind's green hydrogen/ammonia production and export hub, developed jointly with Mi'kmaq communities (Paqtnkek, Potlotek, Membertou), with green-ammonia exports planned.
