What this is
The Canadian Maritime Registry is a directory of the companies and ports that make up Canada's maritime industry. On the company side it covers every sector, from shipping lines, tug and ferry operators, cruise, offshore and dredging contractors, shipyards, terminal operators, agents, and stevedores, to the service providers around them. On the port side it covers the federal Canada Port Authorities alongside Transport Canada public ports and the many provincial, municipal, and private ports across every coast and the Great Lakes.
It exists to make the industry easier to navigate, a single source of truth for who operates where, and how the companies and ports connect.
How to use this site
The home page is the company directory. Search by name, or narrow it by sector and province to find who you're looking for. Every company has its own page showing where it's based and the ports it operates at.
The registry is organized around ports for now. Browse the Ports section and open any port to see its details alongside the companies operating there and the role each one plays. Some details are reserved for members, so get access or sign in to see everything.
Who maintains it
The registry is a constant work in progress, maintained by InBridge AI, a team of maritime and AI experts working together to improve the transparency and accessibility of the Canadian maritime industry. We work across the Canadian maritime sector and keep this list up to date as a public resource.
FAQ
What if my company is missing from the list?
The registry is always growing and we add companies regularly. If one you expected isn't listed yet, suggest one and we'll look into adding it.
How can I report something out of date or not accurate?
Details change over time. If something looks wrong or no longer current, request a change and we'll review and update it.
Why did we build this?
Canada's maritime industry is fragmented. Ports, companies, and the wider sector aren't well connected to one another. We built the registry to reconcile that disconnected network into a single place that anyone in the industry can use to find each other and work together.
Privacy & analytics
We use Google Analytics and Vercel's privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the registry is used, what people search for, and how the site performs. Google Analytics only sets cookies and collects usage data after you accept the consent banner; until then it runs in a cookieless mode that records no personal identifiers. Vercel's analytics are cookieless by design. We use this data in aggregate to improve the registry and never sell it.
