Who we are
The Canadian Maritime Registry (maritimeregistry.ca) is operated by InBridge AI. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Your account
Anyone can browse the public parts of the registry. A free Crew account opens full company profiles, and an Officer membership opens the rest.
Accounts are personal. Keep your password to yourself, and understand that you are responsible for what happens under your login. Use an email address you actually read, since that is how we reach you about your account.
Membership and billing
Officer membership is $19 CAD per month or $190 CAD per year. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. Payments are processed by Stripe, so we never see or store your card details. If we change the price, we will tell you by email before it applies to your renewal.
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime from your account page, under Manage billing. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then your account returns to the free Crew tier. We do not refund partial periods, but if something has gone wrong, write to us and we will make it right.
Closing your account
You can close your account from your account page. Closing it cancels any active membership, ends your access, and signs you out everywhere. We keep a minimal record of the account, which means the same email address cannot be used to sign up again on its own. If you want your account reopened, contact us and we will do it for you.
How you may use the registry
The registry is here to help you find and understand the companies and ports that make up Canada's maritime industry, for your own work or your organization's. What you may not do:
- scrape, crawl, or bulk extract the data
- resell, republish, or redistribute it
- use the contact details for unsolicited bulk email or anything else that would breach Canada's anti-spam legislation
- share your login with others
We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.
Accuracy of the data
The registry is curated by hand and we work to keep it accurate, but it is provided as it stands. Details change, and we cannot guarantee that everything is current or complete. Please do not treat it as the only basis for a business or legal decision. If you spot something wrong, request a change and we will review it.
If your company is listed
The registry lists organizations and the business contact information they publish, not private individuals. If you are responsible for a listed company and want a correction, an update, or a removal, get in touch and we will take care of it.
Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the registry online and useful, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and the site changes as the registry grows. To the extent the law allows, InBridge AI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the registry, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the registry evolves. If a change is significant, we will let members know by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
