EverWind Point Tupper Marine Terminal
Point Tupper, NS · Private · Indigenous-affiliated · EverWind Fuels · Strait of Canso
The EverWind Point Tupper Marine Terminal is a private petroleum storage and transshipment terminal at Wright Point, Point Tupper, on the deep, ice-free Strait of Canso in Nova Scotia. It handles crude oil, refined fuels and other petroleum products, with roughly 7.5 million barrels of storage, served by a T-shaped concrete-and-steel jetty extending about 228.6 m offshore with two berths: an outer berth taking vessels of 350,000+ DWT (31 m depth, ~25.9 m max draft) and an inner berth for vessels up to about 99,999 DWT. EverWind Fuels acquired the terminal from NuStar Energy in 2022 and operates it while developing the site, in partnership with three Mi'kmaq nations, into a green hydrogen and ammonia production and export hub (first phase targeting ~200,000 tonnes/year of green ammonia, targeted for 2028).
