McInnis Cement marine terminal (Port-Daniel-Gascons)
Port-Daniel-Gascons, QC · Private · Ciment McInnis Inc · Baie-des-Chaleurs (Gulf of Saint Lawrence)
Private deepwater bulk marine terminal serving the McInnis Cement plant, the largest cement plant in Canada, located on the shore of Baie-des-Chaleurs (Gulf of Saint Lawrence) in Port-Daniel-Gascons, Gaspésie. The terminal's 333 m dock — comprising 7 berthing dolphins and 2 mooring dolphins linked by 10 steel bridges — can load bulk carriers up to roughly 60,000 t, fed from approximately 240,000 t of on-site clinker and cement storage via a 350 m enclosed conveyor gallery. It handles outbound bulk cement and clinker shipped primarily to McInnis's distribution terminals along the U.S. East Coast and the Great Lakes, supporting plant production of about 2.2-2.3 million tonnes of cement per year. The plant and terminal are owned by Ciment McInnis and run as part of the Votorantim Cimentos / St. Marys Cement joint venture.
