Raw materials — iron ore concentrate/pellets and DRI feed produced at ArcelorMittal's Port-Cartier and northern-Quebec mining operations — are brought in by Great-Lakes/St. Lawrence bulk carrier (e.g., the Algoma Integrity shuttling between Port-Cartier and Contrecoeur) and by rail. The facility is operated by ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada and is distinct from the adjacent Montreal Port Authority container terminal at Contrecoeur.
