Public Port of Kegaska

Kegaska, QC · Transport Canada · Transport Canada · Gulf of St. Lawrence (Quebec Lower North Shore / Basse-Côte-Nord)

Kegaska is a Transport Canada-owned remote port facility on Quebec's Lower North Shore (Basse-Côte-Nord), serving a small community where marine transportation is a primary mode of access; it sits at the eastern terminus of Route 138. The wharf is a regular weekly stop for Relais Nordik Inc.'s mixed passenger-and-cargo vessel Bella Desgagnés (Groupe Desgagnés), which resupplies the Lower North Shore communities with freight and passengers from April to mid-January. Operations are overseen by Transport Canada's Quebec Regional Office, and the facility primarily handles community resupply (general cargo) and passenger ferry calls rather than commercial bulk traffic.
